Highly acclaimed horsewoman Vanessa Bee grew up around horses.
She worked in racing stables in her early teens and drove competitively into
her early twenties.
When she was given a supposedly unrideable race horse, she realised
that there had to be a better way than the 'bigger stick, bigger
bit' method of training
horses and set out on a journey that would take her all over the world to
work and learn with some of the greatest horsemen of our age.
By studying all that she could first hand and through her own observations,
Vanessa has developed a technique that is both kind and highly effective.
This DVD starts from the ground up with an untouched Dartmoor Pony
foal.
Vanessa starts by acclimatising the foal to her presence and then puts
a rope around his neck. Soon she has a head collar on. Then she teaches
him
to be
lead, to tie up, to be happily touched and to pick up his feet. By the
end of the session, she is leading him easily into a trailer.
This DVD has something for everyone, from novice rider to experienced
trainer.
